Sports massage is a set of specialised massage techniques for the treatment of muscle, tendon and ligament problems. Anyone, not just athletes, can benefit from sports massage if they have aches and pains caused by either over use or incorrect use of muscles. The combination of remedial and deep tissue massage, muscle energy techniques and neuromuscular techniques during treatment, combined with advice on remedial exercises will be used to personalise a rehabilitation programme to meet specific needs of the patient.

Maarten has always had a keen interested in the human body and how he can help with its function and structural mobility. He started his osteopathic journey in Belgium before transferring the U.K where he finished his Master’s at the European School of Osteopathy (ESO), gaining a First Class Honour’s degree.

During Maarten’s time studying, he has had the pleasure to gain experience with helping patients with all kinds of specialist areas such as headaches, woman’s health (pregnancy and postnatal care), paediatrics and sports centred conditions. Headaches and woman’s health particularly took hold of Maarten’s interest. However, his skillset expands into all modalities of treatments Osteopaths can offer, including musculoskeletal, visceral and cranio-sacral techniques.

Maarten has also had the opportunity to continue to expand his knowledge and further develop his skills as a teaching assistant at the European School of Osteopathy.

Outside of Osteopathy, Maarten is a keen sportsman, spending his spare time playing basketball, running, a keen photographer and promoting his profession.

Maarten is a passionate Osteopath who will always adapt his skillset to the patient in front of him. Whilst being particularly mindful about finding the root cause of the complaint. He gets the most joy form seeing his patients get the results they expect from his treatment and is more than happy to see anyone from new born babies, to the elderly.

Jon is a Sports Massage Therapist and Personal Trainer specialising in Rehabilitation. He splits his time between OsteoAllies and his practice in Surrey.

Formerly a professional Contemporary/Ballet Dancer and lifelong Martial Artist, Jon was also a founding lecturer/Senior lecturer/Course Leader of the Undergraduate Dance degree at Kingston University, Surrey, and taught practical and theoretical modules there for 12 years. He is a proud father of two and is also on the board of trustees for community dance organisation DanceWest.

Jon strongly believes in maintaining a holistic perspective, combining all of his skills and experience to offer individually tailored, safe, informed and sustainable Treatments and Training to his clients. Jashwini is a fully qualified Osteopath with a Masters degree from the London School of Osteopathy. She also has a BSc in Biomedical Science and a sports massage qualification. She has a particular interest in sports injuries and visceral work. She uses a holistic approach to find the root of the problem. She aims to restore the body to optimum health and promote healing after injury, aid in treating symptoms associated with chronic conditions and prevent future injuries. She uses a range of techniques such as soft/deep tissue massage, mobilisations, manipulations, myofascial/ trigger point release, neuromuscular, muscle energy techniques and dry needling.
